Beginner's Series

Join Ssanyu Brooks for an 8 week series designed to equip new and beginner yoga students with tools to practice safely, with confidence, and to have the opportunity to embody the practice as a whole.

Our time together will be spent breaking down a foundational sequence of Asanas (yoga postures), guided forms of meditation, and a broad overview of the principles of the yoga practice - the 8 Limbs. The 8 Limb exploration will include discussion of Yamas (ethics), Niyamas (self-discipline), Asanas (movement), Pranayama (breath), Pratyahara (sensory transcendence), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (enlightenment)! All sessions will provide time and space for inquiry, growth, and a powerful connection within community!

With specific attention placed on foundational postures, learn how to start and maintain an Asana practice with power, strength, and purpose. Space will be given to explore weekly meditations to start or strengthen your meditation practice. Become more connected to who you really are!
