Bhagavad Gita Book Club: A Yogic Journey Through Timeless Wisdom
Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00 PM | Dates: 3/20, 3/27, 4/10, 4/24, 5/8, 5/15, 6/12, 6/26
The Bhagavad Gita has been referred to as the heart of yoga philosophy. It is a text that offers profound insights into self-discovery, purpose (dharma), and the path to inner peace. The Gita is a guide to living yoga beyond the mat, teaching us how to navigate life’s challenges with clarity, courage, and compassion.
In this 8-session book club, we will explore how the Bhagavad Gita connects to the practice of yoga—not just asana (physical postures), but as a holistic path encompassing Karma Yoga (selfless action), Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Jnana Yoga (wisdom), and Dhyana Yoga (meditation). We’ll use a suggested reading guide, discussions, and reflections, to personally discover the Gita’s relevance to modern yogic living.
What to Expect:
A structured reading guide
Exploration of yogic themes such as non-attachment, self-discipline, and surrender
Conversations on how these teachings apply to our practice and daily life
A supportive space for reflection, inquiry, and connection
