Donation-Based Class for Girls on the Run

Founded in 1996, Girls on the Run International is a nonprofit that has served 2 million + girls across North America. Since their chapter's inception in 2013, Girls on the Run of Greater Richmond has served over 2,700 girls in 3rd-8th grade. Girls on the Run designs programming that strengthens young girls’ social, emotional, physical and behavioral skills to successfully navigate life experiences.

Locally, 40% of girls receive financial assistance to participate in our physical activity-based positive youth development program. In a July 2021 Harvard study, Girls on the Run was found to be one of three programs reviewed that has a strong focus on equitable and inclusive education. Girls on the Run serves teams at schools in Richmond, Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield, Chester, Powhatan, and Petersburg. Specifically, they serve girls at Mary Munford and John B. Cary elementary schools, as well as the Jewish Community Center.

Join Katie for a donation based class wherein 100% of the funds raised for this class will be donated to the organization Girls on the Run. All proceeds collected will help ensure that no girl who wishes to participate in the Girls on the Run here in Richmond is turned away.

This yoga practice is focused on strengthening the stabilizer muscles to reduce risk of injury, as well as lengthening the larger muscle groups to help with flexibility and mobility.

This class will be warm.
