Pilates 6 Week Series

Join us for an 6-week mat pilates series as we invite a new movement modality into the Humble Haven space. Mat pilates encourages concentration for precise movements that build awareness of the breath, strengthen the core and low back muscles, and support joint stabilization. Pilates focuses on toning muscles which helps build both endurance and overall stability in the body. In this series, classes will use a combination of bodyweight only movements and movements that incorporate props. Unlike classical pilates, class sequences will fuse classical and contemporary pilates as well as other movement styles.
Classes are open to anyone, no prior experience needed. This offering will be held in studio two and will be unheated.

This series will be led by Elana Aronovici who is a certified Pilates Apparatus and Matwork instructor through Stott Pilates. With over 15 years of experience and multiple certifications, Elana has worked with new students focusing on fundamentals and body awareness to advanced students focusing on props and variations. She has taught a variety of group classes in addition to private and semi private instruction on the mat or on the Pilates apparatus.
