Somatic Series

Somatic is a fancy word for “of the body”.
This 8 week series is an exploration into somatic practices with the intention of slowing down, listening and reconnecting with the felt sense of your body, which in turn nurtures nervous system regulation. Each week will explore a form of somatic practice. All are welcome!
week 1: nervous system 101 - intro to somatics, meditation, breathwork, and movement
week 2: what is what? orienting to the body, mind, and environment
week 3: vagus nerve intro - ventral vagal practice to promote calm
week 4: resourcing and working with states of activation: what goes up must come down
week 5: co-regulation - creating a foundation of emotional safety and security within our relationships
weeks 6 and 7: somatic yoga + breathwork: slow movements with attention on inner experience
week 8: movement meditation: experiencing the body moving from stillness to flow
