“We are participating to show our support for more than 18 programs and other services offered to individuals with Down syndrome and their families throughout Central Virginia. One program that has been extremely impactful for our family is the First Call which allows families to reach out at any time after receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis for their child and speak to another parent of a child with Down syndrome. We felt immediately supported and have stayed close with the parent we first connected with!
Every dollar raised brings us one step closer to ensuring that every individual will have the opportunity to reach his or her potential.
Our fundraising efforts will support local programs and services, as well advocacy and public awareness initiatives that benefit all individuals with Down syndrome in our community.
