Yoga's 8 Limbs
The practice of yoga includes 8 limbs or 8 different aspects that grant a practitioner acces to receive the full benefits of not just doing yoga, but living it.
In this 4-hour workshop led by Humble Haven's founder, Suzanne Burns, we will dive into the 8 limbs which teach us about personal and ethical disciplines, physical postures, breath, our senses, and meditation as a path towards peace.
We will spend much of our time together learning about the Yamas & Niyamas, Yoga's first two limbs, as they make up the foundation in which the rest of the yoga practice sits on.
We will use mindful movement, guided breathing techniques, personal inquiry, and group discussion to apply them to our own lives and our life within community.
Participants should bring a journal or note book, something to write with, and any snacks, food, or beverages that they'd like to have throughout the evening.
