Moving Through Grief

Grief can be so powerful, but so can the practice of Yoga. After experiencing a loss the body stores grief and stress, sometimes without us even realizing it.

Moving Through Grief is a simple and compassionate way to start to heal and reconnect back to more empowerment and love. This practice will be lead by Taylor Koehler, which in her own life has experienced a great loss after losing her dad at the age of 13. Amongst many tools she uses in her daily life, Yoga has been one of the most powerful and healing in many ways.

In this offering we will explore pranayama exercises that help with depression and anxiety such as Nadi Shodana (alternate nostril breathing), Lions breath, as well as Sama Vrtti Pranayama (box breathing). Paired with a gentle, close to the earth vinyasa flow with all the props, because who doesn’t need a little extra help every now and again. Closing with a guided meditation on Grief and loss.

Room will be warm (85-90 degrees). Memberships, class packages, and single drop-ins available for registration.
