Did you know that twerking is cathartic? What if I told you that a twerk session a day can keep the stress at bay πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ’ƒπŸΎ?

Our body, specifically our hips, hold trauma, stress, and stagnant energy. The art of twerking (shaking) activates our parasympathetic nervous system, signaling to our brain to calm down, relax, and let go.

What if I SHOWED you how a twerk session a day can keep the stress at bay? Join me for my 3-part mindful twerk yoga series where we will be releasing stagnant energy in our hips (by throwing dat ass in a healing circle), all while making room for an abundance of the best parts of life: Community. Self-awareness. Peace. Pleasure. Love. Joy & Safeness in our bodies.

Part 1: Mindful integration into the body and intention setting. In this twerk-infused yoga class we will focus on channeling our inner β€˜main character energy’ on and off of our mat through the vehicles of manifestation, self-love, affirmations, self-awareness, and unapologetic movement. Class style: rooted in Power Yoga.

Part 2: Hamstrings, Asses, Hips, & Spines. In the second class of the series we will connect deeply with the sacral chakra - home of all things creative, sensual, free flowing, and pleasureful. Class style: Hamstrings, Hips, and Spines.

Part 3: Yin and TWERK Flow. Yin yoga helps us go/grow deep within. In the last class of the twerk yoga series we will begin with a hip-focused yin yoga sequence holding poses for 3-5 minutes. We will use yin yoga to let in, acknowledge, identify, and feel any stagnant or hidden emotions. Twerk yogis will then spend the remaining 20-minutes of class moving through a twerk-infused vinyasa flow to release (with love) energy that is not serving them in this season of their lives. We will be twerking to reclaim space for freedom in our bodies and in our life experiences. Class Style: Yin/Vinyasa.
